Hi.i am Scott, from Cumbernauld.Gardening is my job and bass is a bit of an obsession.

I have an overwater bass,4 string 22 fret 30″ scale ,with light strings and close spacing between the strings.I love it.

Right now my practice time is spent between the melodic minor course, the ear training, bass lines and rhythm excercises.Outside of the curriculum I am trying to learn some tunes to help develop playing ideas, rhythm ,melody, timing and overall ability.

I have had a bass of some description around for nearly 20 years, but have only picked it up sporadically due to hefty bouts of illness and other life stuff that gets in the way.

My enthusiasm outweighs my ability to the nth degree. However ,I am very lucky and grateful to be able to indulge myself a bit more lately. My wife not so much.My metronome and repetitive playing of the same thing does her box in!

I have no goal set in place, other than to try to keep learning and improving for my own sense of achievement.(Although I quite fancy playing in a ceilidh band.)
