What’s new about this version of the Tony Grey Bass Academy?
Tony offers an insight into what led him to relaunching his brand new Bass Academy – what’s changed and what members can expect
Well, there are a lot of new things. It’s been a fifteen year journey of travelling around the world playing many different genre of music. I just thought, you know, looking back at the old academy and just reviewing it, I felt I could have done or explained things in a much clearer way. But I guess over time, you start to really understand concepts a lot deeper.
I feel like I have a much deeper connection with theory and developing your own creativity with kind of simple concepts. I wanted to go back and fill in the gaps that I felt I left out last time. And I’ve added a lot more material. I’ve collected all of the requests that I had for particular styles or things to work on. I literally just did a brain dump of my entire philosophy.
There’s new technique courses, new soloing courses, ear training stuff, all brand new videos. The documents are much more in-depth.
There’s better tracks for you to jam along with. There is a community. I’m going to be doing live sessions, so I’m going to be really interacting with you guys and being a part of your journey, which was something that was lacking before. Just the way it was set up and the way technology was. It was kind of limiting in how much I could kind of get in there. It was becoming a little bit overwhelming.
So this time, I’ve kind of built it from that experience from the student first, so I’m catering to the student first. But on top, I’ve got all of these different courses and lessons that we can kind of grow and work through together.
